Job summary

Agency Within, LLC seeks an experienced Contador Público to own the accounting and tax preparation for our Colombian entity and to support accounting across our US entities. Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, this role combines Colombian statutory and tax compliance with hands-on US entity accounting and ownership of the accounts receivable cycle.

You will work with our Colombia-based Junior Accountant who handles accounts payable.

Qualifications

• Accurate knowledge of Colombian NIIF and tax compliance.
• Experience in full accounting cycle and monthly/annual financial statements.
• Experience with accounts receivable and cross-border accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own Colombian statutory accounting and tax compliance.
• Manage full accounting cycle under NIIF (Decreto 2420 de 2015) through monthly and annual financial statements.
• Handle ICA and retención de ICA in each municipality.
• Prepare exógena information and third‑party reconciliation through the year.
• Coordinate cross-border accounting requirements.

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Contador Público to own the accounting and tax preparation for our Colombian entity and to support accounting across our US entities. Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, this role pairs Colombian statutory and tax compliance with hands-on US entity accounting and ownership of the accounts receivable cycle.

You will work alongside our Colombia-based Junior Accountant, who owns accounts payable. Between you, the two of you cover the transactional cycle end to end.

This is a hands-on role on a small team, with real ownership of the Colombian compliance calendar and exposure well beyond a single set of books. It is ideal for someone who has worked in small to mid-sized companies or in the Colombian subsidiary of a multinational, where adaptability, ownership, and wearing multiple hats are essential, and who wants scope beyond a single set of books.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Own Colombian statutory accounting and tax compliance, including:
• The full accounting cycle under NIIF as adopted in Colombia (Decreto 2420 de 2015), on the PUC, through monthly and annual financial statements
• ICA and retención de ICA in each municipality where the company is registered
• Información exógena, including the third‑party reconciliation work through the year that keeps the annual filing routine
