Job summary

WITHIN seeks an experienced Contador Público to own the Colombian accounting and tax filings and to support accounting across US entities. Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, this role combines Colombian compliance with hands‑on US entity accounting and AR ownership, across multi‑entity operations.

You will collaborate with our Colombia-based Junior Accountant and external advisors to ensure timely closes, robust documentation, and adherence to the annual compliance calendar, all while

Qualifications

• Must have a Colombian accounting background including full DIAN calendar end‑to‑end filings.
• Experience with NIIF as adopted in Colombia and payroll compliance.
• Hands-on experience with intercompany accounting and multi‑entity environments.
• Strong proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets for reconciliation and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own Colombian statutory accounting and tax compliance, including the full accounting cycle under NIIF and monthly/annual financial statements.
• Manage DIAN calendar: IVA, retención, renta, exógena and local taxes; ICA and retención de ICA.
• Oversee payroll: PILA, seguridad social, parafiscales, liquidaciones; ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support US entity accounting: monthly close, fixed assets, depreciation, intercompany balances.
• Lead AR activities: invoicing, cash application, collections, aging, close‑period AR.
• Prepare month‑end and year‑end entries, reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Junior Accountant on AP; coordinate with external tax advisors and revisor fiscal.
• Produce ad hoc analyses and schedules for Finance leadership; document audit‑readiness.
