Citigroup Inc. in Bogotá seeks an experienced Transaction Svs Sr Supervisor to lead a medium-sized unit within Transaction Capture Services.

You will supervise daily workflow, assess risk, and drive process improvements in collaboration with the Transaction Capture team. The role requires strong project management, Spanish and English fluency, and the ability to coach junior staff while maintaining adherence to audit and control policies.

Formación

• 4-7 years of experience in a related role.
• Subject Matter Expert in one or more skill sets or products.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken. Portuguese is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provide support to Treasury and Trade services.
• Open and amend SBLCs, process payments, and resolve customer issues to ensure efficient daily operation.
• Supervise a medium Transaction Services Operations unit that performs exception processing.
• Resolve unique transaction services issues/problems and recommend new procedures.
• Evaluate team performance and make recommendations for pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions.
• Ensure task quality of the team and solve issues based on information analysis.
• Contribute to the development of new techniques related to the trade life cycle and workflow improvements.
• Resolve complex trade flow problems through evaluation of procedures and industry standards.
• Contribute to change-the-bank projects and offer advanced solutions.
• Assume leadership role within the team, coach and train new recruits, guide junior staff.
• Assess risk in business decisions, escalate and report control issues with transparency, ensuring compliance with laws and Citigroup policies.

The Transaction Svs Sr Supervisor is an intermediate management level position responsible for leading and supervising a medium sized unit of support employees, in coordination with the Transaction Capture team. The overall objective of this role is to improve processes, interpret data, prepare reports, and minimize bank risk through ensuring adherence to audit and control policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Treasury and Trade services,
• Open and amend Standby Letters of Credit SBLCs), process payments and solve customer issues to ensure efficient daily operation
• Supervise the daily workflow for a medium Transaction Services Operations unit that performs exception processing
• Solve unique transaction services issues/problems and recommend new work procedures through an understanding of current procedures
• Evaluate team performance and make recommendations for pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions
• Ensure task quality of the team and solve issues based on information analysis
• Contribute to the development of new techniques related to the trade life cycle, and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area.
• Resolve complex trade flow problems through an in-depth evaluation of procedures and industry standards.
• Contribute to change-the-bank projects and offers advanced solutions.
• Assume informal/formal leadership role within the team, and coach and train new recruits, and provide guidance and support to junior staff.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in a related role.
• Subject Matter Expert in one or more specific skill sets, business areas or products.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage to deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail and intermediate problem solving skills.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken. Portuguese is a plus
• Highly detailed planning, organization, and solid execution capability.
• Strong focus on control with Analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong performance record, being a self-starter who solves issues as they may arise.
• Quick learner; comfortable with and able to manage in complex systems environment and associated development process.
• Identify new business opportunities.
