INGEPSY is seeking a detail-oriented Test Engineer in Barranquilla, Atlántico, Colombia to design, execute, and improve testing processes ensuring software quality. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to verify functionality across web, mobile, and API platforms.

Responsibilities include creating comprehensive test plans, executing tests, reporting defects with steps and evidence, and contributing to automation efforts and testing framework improvements.

Formación

• Proven experience as a Test Engineer, QA Engineer, or similar role.
• Hands-on testing across web, mobile, desktop, and API.
• Experience creating and maintaining test cases, plans, and docs.
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Familiar with defect tracking and test management platforms.
• Understanding of software development and release processes.
• Ability to translate requirements into effective testing strategies.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple testing activities and meet deadlines.
• English proficiency if working with English-speaking teams or docs.

Responsabilidades

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and scenarios.
• Analyze requirements and technical specs to identify testing needs.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and performance testing.
• Execute manual and automated tests to validate software functionality.
• Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects with evidence.
• Retest resolved defects and perform regression testing after changes.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks when applicable.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders.
• Participate in release testing and deployment validation activities.
• Monitor results and communicate quality risks and recommendations.
• Maintain testing documentation and look for process improvements.
