Job summary

Aptimized is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead IT and software delivery within our Technology Department in Colombia. You will own multi‑track initiatives, drive Agile/hybrid ceremonies, manage budgets and risks, and partner with engineering, product and leadership to deliver scalable technology solutions.

Fluency in English is required; a bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Engineering and 7–10 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in project/delivery management with cross-functional tech programs.
• Fluency in spoken and written English is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives, from intake to post-launch support.
• Own assigned projects, manage scope, schedule, and outcomes; decide on trade-offs.
• Translate business needs into detailed project plans and roadmaps.
• Drive Agile and hybrid delivery ceremonies and ensure milestones.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resources across concurrent initiatives.
• Maintain updated status, risk, and financial data in Smartsheet or similar tools.
• Collaborate across engineering, QA, DevOps, security, and vendors.
• Act as liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks, ensuring compliance and quality.
• Prepare executive status updates and governance materials.
• Oversee vendor and contract performance; champion PMO governance.

Job description

We are seeking experienced Technical Project Manager in our Technology Department. These individuals will play a critical role in driving the successful execution of IT and software delivery initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines. They will collaborate with engineering, product, business stakeholders, and leadership to deliver scalable, high-impact technology solutions.

Will Be Responsible For:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives—from intake and planning through execution, deployment, and post-launch support—ensuring on-time, on-budget outcomes.
• Own assigned projects end-to-end, taking accountability for scope, schedule, and outcomes, and making timely decisions on trade-offs, priorities, and resourcing to keep delivery on track.
• Translate complex business needs into detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, and delivery roadmaps aligned to product and organizational priorities.
• Drive Agile and hybrid delivery ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand‑ups, and retrospectives, to keep teams aligned and milestones on track.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocation across concurrent initiatives, proactively flagging scope, cost, or timeline risks to leadership.
• Maintain accurate project status, risk, and financial data in Smartsheet or equivalent PPM tools to support portfolio‑level reporting and governance.
• Collaborate across cross‑functional teams—engineering, QA, infrastructure, DevOps, security, and vendors—to deliver integrated, high‑quality solutions.
• Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, communicating status, risks, and decisions clearly and proactively.
• Identify, track, and mitigate delivery risks and issues, ensuring adherence to compliance, security, and quality standards.
• Prepare clear, executive‑ready status updates, dashboards, and materials for leadership and steering committee reviews.
• Manage vendor and contract resource performance to ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule, and quality commitments.
• Act as an advocate for the PMO across the organization, championing consistent project management practices, standards, and governance across teams and business units.
• Continuously refine delivery frameworks, tools, and workflows—including AI‑enabled solutions—to improve consistency and outcomes across the PM team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Advanced degree a plus).

Required Skills

• 7–10 years experience in project/delivery management, with a proven ability to manage complex, cross‑functional technology projects.
• Fluency in spoken and written English is required.

Preferred Skills

• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid models.
• Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, Git, Smartsheets, AI (ChatGPT, Claude, CoPilot).
• Experience with ERP, CRM, Data Analytics, SaaS, and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS).
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.PMP, PMI‑ACP, CSM, or related certifications preferred.

• Compensation will be offered in line with current market standards and will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.
