General Motors South America is seeking a qualified accounting professional for a hybrid role in Bogotá. You will oversee memos, coordinate with Controllership, FP&A, Tax and Legal, and ensure accurate financial reporting in line with US GAAP and IFRS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least two years of relevant professional experience.
• Intermediate English proficiency or higher.
• Professional experience and knowledge in accounting.
• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience with SAP.
• Experience with data automation and analytics tools (Power Query, Power BI, KNIME, Google Workspace).
• Big Four experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with high autonomy, strong analytical skills and judgment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and review of technical accounting memos under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Collaborate with Controllership, FP&A, Tax and Legal to analyze transactions and reporting.
• Prepare and review SEC reporting data for Form 10-Q and 10-K disclosures.
• Drive process modernization with regional Controllership teams.
• Review and propose changes to Corporate Circular Letters with regional Controllership.
• Communicate technical accounting analysis to regional leaders and partners.
• Collaborate on training for regional Controllership on new accounting policies.
