Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced accounting professional in Colombia to support US GAAP financial reporting and month-end close processes. The role requires hands-on GAAP experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work with international stakeholders.

You will contribute to reconciliations, asset accounting, and internal controls while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience working with US GAAP.
• Experience working with international companies.
• Experience with financial reporting, month-end close, accruals, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Lead key components of the month-end and year-end close process.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Reconcile general ledger balances with operational subledgers.
• Manage accounting controls related to corporate expenses and credit cards.
• Oversee fixed asset and fleet accounting activities and reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes, controls, and data quality.
