CommandLink is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own the end-to-end surface of the monitoring product, including APIs and UI. You will drive architecture, scalability, and integration with classification and telemetry layers, while emphasizing real-time troubleshooting and robust network topology thinking.

You will shape topology visualizations, guide cross-team decisions, and mentor engineers to deliver production-grade, domain-aware full-stack work at a high-growth remote organization.

Formación

• Deep understanding of network topology and how devices, services, and infrastructure relate.
• Production experience with high-volume, latency-sensitive systems and event streaming or search at scale.
• Experience using protobuf or contract-driven development to enforce shared contracts.
• Knowledge of network telemetry formats (SNMP, syslog, ICMP, OpenTelemetry) and interpretation.
• Strong cloud experience across at least two of AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Track record of owning architectural decisions in ambiguous spaces and guiding cross-team boundaries.
• Nice-to-have experience building monitoring/observability tools with a customer-facing UI.
• Familiarity with graph data models and hierarchical/topology traversal.
• Experience designing visualizations for complex network data.
• Exposure to platforms like SolarWinds, Zabbix, PRTG, or similar.

Responsabilidades

• Own the architecture and long-term direction of the monitoring product's API and UI, including scalability plans.
• Expose the full account and device hierarchy with clear relationships across scale.
• Lead discovery and inventory experiences for device onboarding, discovery, and billing.
• Build screens for alert history creation, editing, and review via the alert service.
• Define data contracts between monitoring, classification, telemetry, and alert services.
• Set patterns for rendering and interacting with complex network data and topology visuals.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve cross-team dependencies and blockers.
• Mentor engineers to raise the bar for production-grade full-stack work.
