BairesDev is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in OpenTelemetry to design and implement telemetry solutions across distributed systems. You will bridge complex architectures with actionable insights, enabling high visibility into performance and reliability.

The role emphasizes contributing to OpenTelemetry standards, building instrumentation, and collaborating with global teams. This is a 100% remote position with USD compensation and flexible hours.

Formación

• 4+ years in Software Engineering with a focus on observability or systems programming.
• Proven experience implementing or contributing to OpenTelemetry standards and libraries.
• Deep understanding of distributed tracing, metrics collection, and telemetry data models.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement OpenTelemetry-based solutions to standardize data collection across microservices.
• Develop and maintain instrumentation for distributed tracing, metrics, and logs to improve observability.
• Contribute to the OpenTelemetry ecosystem, including core components, collectors, or language-specific SDKs.
• Optimize the performance and scalability of telemetry data pipelines for large-scale distributed traffic.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define and implement best practices for cloud-native observability.
