Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Technical Artist to bridge art and engineering, delivering polished visual experiences across UE4/5 platforms. You will craft high-fidelity UI tech art, motion, and lighting while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams on diverse international projects.

You will mentor visual designers, define UI conventions, and optimize assets for performance. The role emphasizes creative problem solving and hands-on Unreal-driven workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Technical Artist, UI Tech Artist, or VFX Artist.
• Proven Unreal Engine 5 expertise, especially Material Editor and Niagara for real-time visuals.
• Experience with Sequencer or similar tools for cinematic camera work.
• Strong lighting, post-process, and mood shaping in real-time environments.
• Proven ability to create polished UI micro-interactions and hover states.

Responsibilities

• Build high-performing technical art solutions using UE4/5 elements such as materials, UI, animation, FX, lighting, Blueprints, and camera systems.
• Develop and guide visual UI patterns, motion, and transitions across the experience.
• Ensure tech art scales across platforms balancing fidelity with performance constraints.
• Take ownership of tooling and asset management for UI tech art across the team.
• Mentor and grow visual designers and UI artists with technical feedback and direction.
