EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Technical Artist to blend creative vision with deep technical expertise, shaping polished UI and visual experiences across UE4/5. You will guide tech art frameworks, establish visual conventions, and drive performance-aware implementations for multiple platforms.

You will mentor designers and UI artists, collaborate with global teams, and contribute to high-quality, scalable visual systems in a dynamic studio environment.

Competenze

• Five-plus years of hands-on experience as a Technical Artist, UI Tech Artist, or VFX Artist, preferably with UI/front-end in gaming.
• At least one year of team leadership experience.
• Proven Unreal Engine 5 expertise, especially Material Editor and Niagara.
• Hands-on with Sequencer or similar tools for animated transitions and cinematic sequences.
• Strong knowledge of real-time lighting and post-process effects for mood and atmosphere.
• Experience crafting UI hover effects, micro-interactions, and motion in UI contexts.
• Solid foundation in shader logic, texture/material optimization and performance analysis.
• Excellent timing, easing and motion design sense for UI work.
• Strong collaboration skills to extend visuals and UX through tech enhancements.
• Comfort navigating undefined, exploratory work to shape the right feel for screens.

• Deliver polished, optimized technical art outputs using materials, UMG, animation, FX, lighting, Blueprints, and camera functions in UE4/5.
• Set forward-looking tech art frameworks, visual direction, and core UI principles.
• Establish cohesive visual conventions for motion, FX, UI transitions, and proportional relationships across experiences.
• Assess how technical art scales across platforms balancing visual quality and performance.
• Lead tooling systems and asset management for UI tech art across the team.
• Provide mentorship to help visual designers and UI artists grow their skills.
