Job summary

Mappa is seeking a Finance & FP&A professional to join our team and own client financial models, close, and reporting. You will work directly with founders, CEOs, and COOs to shape budgets, fundraising materials, pricing, and cash decisions.

You’ll manage multiple client engagements at different stages, from onboarding books to preparing materials for fundraising rounds. You’ll report to the Finance Lead and collaborate with accounting and tax teams to streamline processes.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting advisory, investment banking or startup finance team.
• Strong three-statement modeling skills building driver-based models from scratch.
• Solid GAAP knowledge including accruals, revenue recognition, month-end close.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Clear writing and speaking to explain variances to non-finance founders.
• Ability to manage multiple clients with deadlines without dropping detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain client financial models with assumptions, drivers, forecasts and scenarios.
• Prepare budgets and rolling forecasts tied to business drivers.
• Run scenario analysis for growth, pricing and capital allocation decisions.
• Deliver monthly variance analysis with forward-looking commentary.
