Job summary

SP6 Consulting, LLC is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting across SP6, ASCERA and 112Cyber. You will own AP, billing, revenue recognition and month-end close, coordinating with our US-based team.

This offshore role is on-site at the agency's Medellín office five days a week, with hours overlapping US Eastern business time, and a focus on accuracy and deadlines.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, ideally supporting a US company.

• Degree in accounting or finance.

• Solid grasp of US GAAP, including accruals, prepaids and revenue recognition for software and services.

• Hands-on Microsoft Business Central experience (or a similar ERP).

• Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany entries.

• Fluent written and spoken English.

• Availability during US Eastern business hours, and a reliable home setup if working remotely.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and expenses (~35%).
• Run billing, collections and closed deals (~30%).
• Support revenue recognition and project billing (~15%).
• Close the books and prepare month-end journal entries (~15%).
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts for SP6, ASCERA and 112Cyber.
• Support payroll, commissions and tax processes (~5%).
• Review timesheets and assist with related reporting.
• Maintain procedures for recurring tasks to ensure repeatability.
