BairesDev is seeking a Senior Software Architect (Node.js/TypeScript) to lead the architecture of a cloud-based platform on AWS. You will translate user needs into design decisions and drive production-ready services with strong ownership over end-to-end delivery.

The role requires extensive experience, English proficiency, and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools. This is a 100% remote position with global impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with Architect or Lead responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for backend on AWS.
• Experience designing event-driven microservices in production.
• Ability to elicit requirements from end users and translate into design.

Senior Software Architect (Node.js / TypeScript) at BairesDev

In this role, you'll lead the architecture of a Node.js and TypeScript platform on AWS, translating what end users need into designs the team can build and run with confidence. You'll shape how services communicate and evolve, and own capabilities from the first conversation to production. It's your opportunity to set the technical direction on a product where architecture and real user impact go hand in hand.

What You'll Do

What We Are Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with Architect or Lead responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for back-end development on AWS-hosted platforms.
• Track record of designing event-driven microservices architectures running in production, and explaining the design decisions clearly.
• Comfort working directly with end users, eliciting detailed requirements, asking probing questions, and respectfully challenging proposed solutions.
• Hands-on work with agentic and AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex, from requirements and specs through build, validation, deployment, and observation.
• Background taking software to production and owning its operation, such as observability, incident repair, fix-forward, and low MTTR.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Nice To Have

• Familiarity with React and Next.js front ends.
• Understanding of DORA metrics, cycle time, and flow efficiency.
• Exposure to LegalTech or other regulated domains, such as SOC 2 or HIPAA.
