Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Principal Python Engineer to design and own backend services powering a consumer-facing product used by millions. You’ll work from design through deployment on AWS serverless infrastructure, shaping APIs and data models with a product and design team.

This 100% remote role offers global collaboration, high-impact projects, and opportunities to scale systems at speed while maintaining quality, with English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Serverless (Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, API Gateway).
• Background in PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform).
• Proficiency in microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services on AWS serverless infrastructure.
• Own complete features end to end, from design through deployment.
• Design APIs consumed by web and mobile applications.
• Build infrastructure as code to support consistent, repeatable deployments.
• Design microservices and event-driven systems that scale with demand.
• Design data models across PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
