BairesDev is seeking a Principal Backend Engineer (Python) to shape backend architecture for a scalable platform serving millions of users. This hands-on leadership role involves end-to-end ownership of features, collaboration with product and design, and guiding architectural decisions that scale with the business.
We value a strong Python background, extensive AWS Serverless experience, and expertise in microservices.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of backend engineering experience with strong Python expertise.
- Hands-on AWS Serverless experience (Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, API Gateway).
- Experience with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB databases.
- Proficiency in designing microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform).
- Advanced proficiency in English.
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend architecture on AWS serverless infrastructure.
- Own complete features end to end from design through deployment.
- Design microservices and event-driven systems that scale with demand.
- Define infrastructure as code practices to support repeatable deployments.
- Design APIs consumed by web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with product and design to shape the technical roadmap.
