AgileEngine, LLC. seeks an experienced Python Developer to build and scale an event-driven integration platform that includes APIs, resilience mechanisms, and AI-facing integrations.

You will work on a backbone Python service handling event taxonomy and a durable replayable log, translating events into ITSM actions with exactly-once semantics. Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of production experience with Python including typed, tested, packaged services and APIs
• Strong understanding of event-driven and asynchronous architecture including messaging, durable logs, and idempotency
• Experience with REST API design and familiarity with OpenAPI; willing to work to AsyncAPI contracts
• Experience with Apache Kafka or equivalent streaming platform
• GenAI-assisted development and comfortable using AI coding agents
• Testing discipline (pytest, contract testing), CI/CD pipelines, Linux, Git and containers
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to defend architectural trade-offs in reviews
• Continuous learning mindset and willingness to evaluate new tools critically

Aufgaben

• Build and evolve a Python service handling an event taxonomy and durable replayable log
• Design and maintain contract-first interfaces with OpenAPI and AsyncAPI
• Create the correlation layer to produce right ITSM actions, ensuring deduplication and exactly-once semantics
• Implement platform resilience mechanisms to keep services usable during vendor outages
• Support multiple access patterns (fire-and-forget, submit-and-poll, webhooks, streams)
• Develop event type registry and self-service onboarding for teams
• Build GenAI-facing integration surfaces and tool-calling interfaces
• Modernise legacy integrations via managed deprecation paths without disrupting consumers
• Own quality end-to-end: code review, standards, testing, observability, production support
• Participate in squad ceremonies and customer meetings; document significant decisions as architecture records
• Autonomously own components or projects with guidance from the architect
