AgileEngine is seeking a skilled Python Developer to design and scale an event-driven integration platform. You will work on APIs, resilience, and AI-facing integrations with a focus on distributed systems and reliability.

Requirements include 4+ years with Python, experience with REST/OpenAPI, Kafka, and CI/CD. The role offers hybrid work options and remote-ready teams across Colombia and beyond.

Qualifikationen

• At least 4 years of production Python experience with typed, tested services and APIs.
• Strong grasp of event-driven and asynchronous architectures and messaging.
• Experience with REST API design and OpenAPI; familiarity with AsyncAPI.
• Experience with Kafka or equivalent streaming platforms.
• GenAI-assisted development and awareness of AI coding agents.
• Solid testing, CI/CD pipelines, Linux, Git, and containers.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and distributed-systems skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to defend trade-offs in reviews.

Aufgaben

• Build and evolve a Python service handling event taxonomy and durable replay logs.
• Design and maintain contract-first interfaces using OpenAPI and AsyncAPI.
• Develop the correlation layer turning signals into ITSM actions with exactly-once semantics.
• Implement resilience mechanisms for degraded or unavailable upstream platforms.
• Support multiple access patterns: fire-and-forget, submit-and-poll, webhooks, streams.
• Develop event type registry and self-service onboarding for teams.
