EPAM Systems in Colombia is seeking a Lead Python Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Python on modern cloud platforms. You will lead backend development, shape architecture decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong Python backend experience, expertise with FastAPI/Flask/Django, and hands-on work with AWS/Azure/GCP, REST APIs, and databases. Opportunity to influence architecture and drive production-readiness.

Formación

• Solid background in Python backend development.
• Familiarity with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask or Django.
• Practical experience using AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Proven track record building REST APIs and microservices.
• Sound knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Exposure to CI/CD, testing and modern software engineering practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Build backend services and APIs with Python.
• Architect scalable cloud-based solutions and microservices.
• Handle databases, queues, cloud services and integrations.
• Partner with DevOps, QA, product and engineering teams.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Maintain code quality, security, performance and reliability.
• Assist with deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting of production systems.
