Sezzle is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the evolution of authentication and authorization at scale. You will own the technical vision and drive the gateway and identity services, shaping a secure, high-performance edge platform.

You will collaborate with Product, Security, and Compliance to meet fintech-grade requirements, mentor teams, and guide architecture decisions for zero-downtime migrations and AI-assisted tooling adoption.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in authentication and authorization systems: OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML.
• Experience designing or operating an API gateway or auth proxy at scale.
• Strong Golang, RESTful APIs, and SQL-based RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL).

Responsabilidades

• Own the technical vision and roadmap for Sezzle’s authentication and authorization platform.
• Architect, design, and build scalable auth services and gateway components primarily in Golang, leveraging AWS, RDS, and distributed patterns.
• Design and lead phased, zero-downtime migrations of auth traffic with rollback/safety mechanisms.
• Establish and evolve authentication and authorization standards (OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, mTLS, RBAC/ABAC).
• Drive consistency and scalability within a distributed microservices architecture at the edge gateway.
• Mentor engineers, promote observability, security, and CI/CD across teams, and participate in on-call rotation.
