Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. in Pereira, Colombia, seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to design and scale core infrastructure that supports rapid company growth. You will manage cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes, build reliable platform services, and apply service mesh technologies to keep systems secure and performant.

You will implement scalable solutions, monitor performance, and collaborate with leadership to align initiatives with business goals while advancing AI-native development workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 3+ years API design and development, including REST/gRPC.
• 2+ years AWS and Kubernetes, with service mesh expertise (Istio/Linkerd/Cilium).
• 2+ years building advanced architectural components (service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, federated/polyglot persistence).
• 6+ months experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, harness engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months of SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or similar.
• Excellent communication, quick learner, and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable platform services to support company growth.
• Measure, monitor, and optimize system performance, identifying bottlenecks and infrastructure improvements.
• Manage cloud resources and service boundaries, ensuring security and operational excellence.
• Implement best practices, methodologies, and tools to optimize development processes and increase efficiency.
• Communicate with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to provide project status, risks, and issues.
