Caseware is seeking a Staff Software Developer for the Back End team. You will shape architecture, lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and own key features end-to-end in a fully remote role based in Colombia.

You’ll collaborate across QA, Product, Security, and Domain SMEs to ensure observability, reliability, and quality while driving CI/CD improvements with DevOps. Strong .NET/C# expertise and AWS experience are essential.

Formación

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with impact beyond a single team.
• Extensive experience with .NET and C# as a subject matter expert.
• Experience designing and evolving shared platforms or infrastructure.
• Experience delivering cloud-native systems on AWS with focus on scalability, reliability, security and cost.
• Experience with monoliths and microservices architectures.
• Strong containerization/orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of SQL Server and relational databases.
• Balance fast delivery with long-term platform health and architecture ownership.
• Proven track record owning architectural decisions in an agile team.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence across teams.
• Proactive in improving processes, tooling, and product quality.

Responsabilidades

• Define and evolve technical architecture and standards for scalable, reusable capabilities across teams.
• Act as a technical leader influencing architectural decisions via design reviews and RFCs.
• Own key features and architectural improvements end-to-end from design to build.
• Lead proof-of-concepts to inform roadmap and architecture decisions.
• Address complex, business-critical challenges such as real-time multi-user sync and extensibility.
• Collaborate with QA, Product, Security, and Domain SMEs to ensure observability and reliability.
• Establish engineering standards and best practices to improve security and maintainability.
• Drive operational excellence by identifying systemic risks and root causes.
• Evolve CI/CD pipelines and production safeguards with DevOps and Security teams.
• Mentor senior and junior engineers and participate in production support as escalation point.
• Collaborate within an agile team of developers, testers, and a product owner.
