BairesDev is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to lead optimization of low-level systems and ensure our infrastructure runs at peak efficiency. You’ll bridge hardware capabilities and software execution, tuning the Linux kernel and subsystems for massive-scale operations.

You will design tests, develop observability tooling, and collaborate with global teams. This remote role offers flexible hours and compensation in USD or local currency, with strong growth opportunities.

Formación

• 4+ years in Performance or Systems Engineering or low-level Linux development.
• Strong knowledge of Linux kernel tuning and internals.
• Experience with C/C++ systems programming and eBPF for observability.
• Experience with CPU profiling tools such as perf, Nsight, or VTune.
• Ability to identify and resolve bottlenecks at scale.

Responsabilidades

• Lead deep-dive analyses of CPU, memory, and I/O subsystems to reduce latency.
• Design performance characterization plans for high-traffic distributed systems.
• Develop observability tools using eBPF for real-time monitoring.
• Tune kernel parameters and scheduling to maximize throughput.
• Collaborate with engineers to provide architecture recommendations from profiling data.
• Automate validation of performance regressions in deployments.
