BairesDev is hiring a Systems Performance Engineer for a 100% remote role. You will optimize Linux kernel performance, tune CPU scheduling, memory, and I/O, and collaborate with global engineering teams to scale infrastructure.

You’ll work with profiling tools to deliver data-driven recommendations and ensure peak system efficiency. Ideal candidates have strong C/C++ skills, deep Linux internals knowledge, and English proficiency.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Performance Engineering, or SRE.
• Proven expertise in low-level systems performance tuning for kernel, CPU, memory, and I/O.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and deep understanding of Linux kernel internals.
• Hands-on experience with profiling and tracing tools such as eBPF, perf, and Nsight.
• Strong background in kernel parameter tuning and optimizing hardware-level interactions.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct deep-dive profiling and tracing of the Linux kernel to identify and resolve complex performance bottlenecks.
• Optimize CPU scheduling, memory management, and I/O subsystems to improve system throughput and reduce latency.
• Implement and manage advanced monitoring and observability tools to track hardware-level interactions and system health.
• Fine-tune kernel parameters and system configurations to align infrastructure performance with specific workload requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to provide data-driven insights and technical recommendations for hardware and software scaling.
