Job summary

Provectus is seeking a Senior Software Engineer or Solutions Architect to work deeply in Python on AI/ML systems, embedding inside client teams and owning architecture end-to-end.

You will design and deploy production-grade RAG and agentic AI solutions, lead architectural decisions, and communicate directly with clients, including presales support. Remote-first within Europe, with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building and running production systems with hands-on experience.
• Production experience with RAG systems and live AI workflows.
• Backend development with Flask, Django REST, or FastAPI.
• Recent hands-on AWS experience (SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, S3).
• Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock).
• Strong Python proficiency and clean architecture skills.
• Ability to defend system design decisions with clients directly.
• Comfort communicating with stakeholders without a PM intermediary.
• Willingness to work closely with client teams from discovery to delivery.
• Strong testing practices (pytest, mocking, integration tests).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes; familiar with AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Embed with the client team for the engagement duration in their environment.
• Begin with real work to ground architecture in actual processes.
• Write production-grade Python across AI integrations and backend services.
• Design, build, and optimize RAG systems and agentic AI solutions in production.
• Own system design decisions across engagement, microservices vs monolith, etc.
• Directly own the technical direction from discovery through delivery.
• Act as the client’s technical contact, present architecture, defend trade-offs.
• Support presales activities including discovery, proposals, scoping, demos.
• Lead architecture reviews and produce design docs; contribute to standards.
• Contribute learnings to Provectus blueprint library; mentor engineers.
