J.S. Held in Medellín, Colombia, is seeking mid to senior Structural Engineers to join our dynamic team supporting local and regional projects.

The role involves forensic investigations, consultation, paper preparation, and serving as an expert witness; travel to project sites is expected. Candidates should have 5+ years of engineering experience, 2+ years as a forensic engineer, strong analytical and communication skills, and bilingual English and Spanish.

Formación

• 5 or more years of engineering experience.
• 2 or more years of experience as a forensic engineer.
• Experience in engineering design or construction.
• Experience conducting damage assessments and forensic investigations.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer skills (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Fully bilingual, English & Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts field observations, testing and data collection
• Prepares reports detailing observations made, testing results, research conducted, and opinions or recommendations
• Works with building departments to determine repair directives
• Conducts research and develops technical topics for publication
• Meets with and presents to peers and clients
• Engagement in client-relations marketing
