Valtech in Colombia offers a remote opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to join our AI/Data initiatives. You will design and maintain data pipelines in Databricks and Azure, using SQL and Python to move data across zones and ensure real-time and batch processing.

The role emphasizes building fault-tolerant pipelines, collaborating with teams, and documenting systems. We value experience with cloud services, automation, and data governance across large-scale datasets.

Formación

• Agentic AI, Snowflake
• SQL Server (T-SQL, heavy queries)
• PostgreSQL (read-only for replica)
• Python + FastAPI
• Understands acceptance/likelihood models
• Kafka (consuming)
• Read C# to extract logic
• AWS basics: S3, RDS, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch
• Terraform (read fluently)
• Quantitative degree in Engineering/Math/CS/Statistics or related

Responsabilidades

• Build and support batch, distributed and real-time data pipelines
• Create fault-tolerant, self-healing data workflows
• Lead implementation of complex programs
• Document systems and projects
• Tune queries over billions of rows in distributed engines
• Perform root-cause analysis and permanent resolutions
