The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) seeks a senior officer to lead the design and piloting of forest finance credit lines, guarantees and blended instruments. You will work with central banks, regulators, and commercial banks to mobilize capital for forest-based enterprises and sustainable investments.

The role requires advanced finance training and at least 7 years in sustainable finance, with strong capacity in risk assessment, credit structuring, and financial-sector capacity building.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Finance, Banking, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in sustainable/climate finance or related areas.
• Experience engaging with central banks, regulators, or commercial banks.
• Full professional proficiency in English; working knowledge of French or Spanish is a plus.
• Strong technical expertise in credit structuring and risk-sharing instrument design.

Responsabilités

• Lead design, structuring, and piloting of forest credit lines and risk instruments.
• Advise central banks and regulators on prudential reforms for green banking.
• Train financial institutions on risk assessment and revenue-backed lending.
• Coordinate with country teams to align instrument design with project delivery.
• Engage financial intermediaries to pilot credit and blended finance.
