Jeeves is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for our LATAM engineering team. You will design and build backend systems powering the financial platform across 20+ countries, focusing on payments, cards, spend management, and compliance infrastructure.

We value engineers who can integrate AI-powered features, work across time zones, and communicate fluently in English plus Spanish or Portuguese. This is a full-time remote role with global impact.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Fluent in English for daily collaboration with global teams.
• Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese for LATAM teamwork.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Python, or Node.js/TypeScript.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Relational databases design/optimization (PostgreSQL).
• Cloud infra (AWS/GCP/Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs with observability.
• Experience working on globally distributed teams.
• Comfort using AI tools as part of everyday development.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services powering Jeeves customers across the Americas.
• Write clean production code in Go, Python, or Node.js/TypeScript; participate in design reviews.
• Build and consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs; use gRPC and event-driven architectures.
• Design schemas for PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis for correctness and scale.
• Own backend features end-to-end from design through deployment and monitoring.
• Implement security best practices: authentication, authorization, data protection.
• Integrate AI-powered features and workflows into production backend systems.
