Job summary

Tetra Pak is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer based in Bogotá, Colombia. You will lead automation across food processing projects in the Andina region, coordinating with customers and teams to deliver advanced automation solutions from design through commissioning.

You will travel up to 40% for commissioning and startup activities. This role combines technical leadership, project management, and customer engagement in a global, innovation-driven environment.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
• Experience implementing automation solutions in industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs (Rockwell, Siemens) and SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation scope of projects through full lifecycle.
• Manage scope, budget, schedule, and deliverables.
• Act as the automation contact for customers and cross-functional teams.
• Design and implement automation solutions (PLCs, SCADA, MES).
• Participate in design reviews, safety assessments, testing, commissioning.
• Share knowledge and promote best practices across teams.
