Marsh is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Controller in Controllership across six countries, including Colombia. This hybrid role requires in-office work at least three days a week and can be based in Cali or Bogotá, Colombia.

The ideal candidate will lead complex accounting and reporting under US GAAP and IFRS, drive SOX controls, mentor staff, and ensure timely closes and accurate disclosures. Strong English and Spanish communication is essential.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in same roles, preferably within the insurance industry.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in team leadership and people management, preferably within the insurance industry.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with fluency in English (Level C2) and Spanish.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Support Controllership strategy and objective setting, including automation priorities.
• Ensure integrity of financial information under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Control cash flow and manage monthly/quarterly close.
• Review complex journal entries and reconcile ledgers.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and train accounting positions.
• Own SOX/internal controls and remediation of gaps.
• Communicate audit results and control issues clearly.
