Job summary

Mastercard Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant for Accounts Receivable Operations based in Bogota, Colombia. The role focuses on managing daily AR activities, payment processing, collections and month-end close, reporting to the Manager of Accounting.

The successful candidate will handle reconciliations, inquiries from customers and sales teams, and contribute to process improvements. Fluency in English and a CPA track are preferred, with experience in Netsuite/Oracle and U.S. GAAP highly valued.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (Professional – C) required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or working towards designation preferred.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting procedures.
• Experience in Netsuite and Oracle preferred.
• Prior work experience in accounts receivable processes preferred.
• Experience in multinational organizations a plus.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• MS Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Process customer payments and set up new customers.
• Send semi-monthly dunning emails for applicable accounts.
• Generate and analyze AR aging reports for collections.
• Collect on outstanding invoices to minimize write-offs.
• Prepare reconciliations and journal entries for close and write-offs.
• Support SOX testing and audits.
• Develop policy/process improvements in AR operations.
