Job summary

Amazon Web Services Colombia S.A.S. is seeking a Senior Applied AI, Partner Solutions Architect to lead the technical strategy for Latin America, architecting applied AI and Amazon Connect solutions with partners to improve customer experiences.

You will mentor partner teams, develop best practices, and translate feedback into product roadmaps, helping accelerate AI-enabled customer experiences across industries in Latin America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, math, or related field.
• 4+ years in contact center ops or 2+ years in related field.
• Experience in IT development or consulting in software/Internet industries.
• Experience in software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, security, networking, data & analytics.

• Lead the technical strategy for AWS partners in Latin America, architecting applied AI and Amazon Connect solutions that improve how customers interact with businesses
• Collaborate with partners and internal go-to-market teams to design, validate, and deliver AI-powered customer experience solutions that meet specific business outcomes
• Develop and share best practices through technical content such as reference architectures, blog posts, workshops, and presentations at AWS events
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to partner teams and the broader Solutions Architect community, creating enablement materials that raise the technical bar in Latin America
• Gather and translate customer and partner feedback into clear requirements for AWS product and engineering teams to strengthen the applied AI and Amazon Connect roadmap

You will drive the technical strategy for AWS partners in Latin America, helping them bring new AI-enabled customer experience offerings to market quickly. A day in the life

Your morning might start with a deep-dive architecture review alongside a partner team building a generative AI solution on Amazon Connect for a retail customer. After lunch, you shift to preparing a workshop for an upcoming AWS event, translating lessons learned from recent engagements into practical guidance. Later, you join a call with product teams to share partnher feedback on a new AI service, then wrap up by reviewing a reference architecture a colleague drafted. You balance hands-on technical work with strategic conversations, and your week includes a mix of solo design time and collaborative sessions with partners and internal teams.

About the team

The Applied AI Solutions Architecture team sits within the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization. We work with technology and consulting partners all over the world to build and bring AI-powered customer experience solutions, including those leveraging Amazon Connect, to market for customers across industries. Our team is investing in accelerating the pace at which new applied AI solutions reach customers, and this role is central to that mission.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in a professional field or military
• Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
• Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• 4+ years of contact center, or 2+ years of contact center experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking
• Experience working with end user or developer communities
• Experience working with vendors or partners
