Job summary

EPAM Systems in Colombia seeks a Senior AI Solution Engineer to design, ship, and operate production-grade AI systems, blending generative AI with ML rigor to automate workflows and accelerate decisions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ground model outputs in trusted sources and ensure secure, observable deployments in a dynamic, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building AI solutions with Python and modern ML tooling.
• Hands-on experience developing AI agents and agentic workflows.
• Proven experience delivering Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Cloud platform experience, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2).

We are seeking a Senior AI Solution Engineer to build scalable AI solutions that combine agentic and generative approaches with ML rigor to automate workflows and accelerate decision-making. You will design, ship, and operate production-grade AI systems in close collaboration with partners across engineering and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable AI solutions that blend generative AI capabilities with ML-driven precision
• Build and deploy AI agents that automate workflows and support enterprise decision-making
• Develop RAG pipelines that ground model outputs in trusted knowledge sources
• Implement AI services and APIs using Python within reliable production architectures
• Optimize prompt design and retrieval strategies to improve output quality and consistency
• Evaluate models and system performance and drive continuous improvement cycles
• Integrate AI components into production environments with security, observability, and governance in mind
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align requirements, validate outcomes, and deliver iteratively

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building AI solutions with Python and modern ML tooling
• Hands-on experience developing AI agents and agentic workflows
• Proven experience delivering Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions
• Strong ownership skills to drive delivery in a cross-functional environment
• Production engineering skills for reliability, security, and observability
• Strong problem-solving skills with an agile, collaborative mindset
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Cloud platform experience with a preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)

Nice to have

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience, including Vertex AI
• Google Agent Development Kit familiarity
• Kubernetes experience for production deployment and scaling
• Docker usage for packaging and reproducible environments
• LLM evaluation experience and/or ML architecture background
