Howard Financial is hiring a Senior Accountant to own the full-cycle month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting for Vacation Rental clients. You will review junior staff work, ensure accuracy before escalation, and collaborate with Controllers on strategic accounting judgments.

The role requires 3–5+ years in accounting with vacation rental or property management experience and strong Excel/GAAP skills. 100% remote work with USD compensation.

Formación

• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience with 1–2 years at Senior Accountant level or equivalent.
• Hands-on vacation rental, short-term rental, or property management accounting experience.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and ownership of full month-end close.
• Experience reconciling high-volume, multi-property data and preparing statements.
• Proficient Excel/Google Sheets with pivot, lookup, and reconciliation workbooks.
• Comfort working across multiple client accounts; professional English communication.

Responsabilidades

• Own full-cycle month-end close for one or more Vacation Rental accounts.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations; review work of junior staff.
• Reconcile owner statements, trust/escrow, and property-level revenue against PMS data.
• Prepare and analyze P&L and balance sheet at property and portfolio levels.
• Manage AP/AR cycles and coordinate vendor/owner payments using Ramp or Bill.com.
• Identify discrepancies in bookings, occupancy, and revenue data flowing to GL.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for client portfolios.
• Document accounting procedures for vacation rental revenue cycle.
• Coordinate with Controller/Sr. Controller and client stakeholders.
