Howard Financial is seeking a Senior Controller to lead the financial health of a portfolio within the Short-Term Rental and Hospitality vertical. This remote role oversees a remote team of accountants and bookkeepers, acting as the main advisor to client executive teams.

You will own US GAAP reporting, manage month-end closes, and build scalable processes for growing client portfolios. The position demands 7+ years in accounting, including 3+ in leadership, and fluency in English.

Formación

• 7+ years in accounting with 3+ years in a Controller or senior financial leadership role.
• Experience in Short-Term Rentals, Property Management, or Hospitality.
• Strong command of US GAAP, multi-entity consolidations, and trust accounting.
• Proficient in QBO, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct, plus PMS software (Guesty, Streamline, Track).
• Self-starter who digs into messy data, fixes inefficiencies, and communicates with C-suite.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end US GAAP financial reporting and month-end close for STR/Hospitality clients.
• Mentor and review a remote team of accountants and bookkeepers.
• Oversee owner-fund and trust accounting structures with precision.
• Act as a primary advisor for client CEOs and investors on P&L and cash flow trends.
• Build scalable controls and standardized workflows as portfolios expand.
