Job description

Welcome to Gallagher - a global community of people who bring bold ideas, deep expertise, and a shared commitment to doing what’s right. We help clients navigate complexity with confidence by empowering businesses, communities, and individuals to thrive. At Gallagher, you’ll find more than a job; you’ll find a culture built on trust, driven by collaboration, and sustained by the belief that we’re better together. Whether you join us in a client-facing role or as part of our brokerage division, our benefits and HR consulting division, or our corporate team, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your career, make an impact, and be part of something bigger. Experience a workplace where you’re encouraged to be yourself, supported to succeed, and inspired to keep learning. That’s what it means to live The Gallagher Way.

Overview

This role supports Gallagher operations across Latin America. It brings together physical security, employee safety, threat and incident management, emergency preparedness, security intelligence, security technology, vendor oversight, and regional risk reduction.

You’ll help turn global and Americas security strategy into practical local action across a multi country region. That means working across different laws, languages, cultures, infrastructure limits, and threat conditions, while keeping Gallagher standards clear, usable, and consistent. Travel is expected for around 30 to 50 percent of the time, including regular cross border trips.

How You'll Make An Impact

In this role, you’ll run the day to day execution of Gallagher’s Global Safety & Security work across Latin America. You’ll be the main in region contact for security matters, helping country and business leaders make sensible decisions when the risk picture changes. You’ll monitor local conditions such as crime, civil unrest, political issues, natural hazards, transport disruption, and infrastructure problems, then turn that information into practical advice for the business.

Day to day, you’ll carry out physical security reviews, site audits, readiness checks, and country risk assessments. You’ll spot gaps, document vulnerabilities, and follow remediation through to completion. You’ll also support new office openings, moves, closures, consolidations, and acquisitions by helping shape access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, visitor management, duress alarms, and other security measures that fit the local environment.

You’ll also play a key part in incident response and crisis coordination. That includes supporting investigations, preserving and translating incident details when needed, joining regional incident and crisis calls, and helping with employee accountability, emergency communications, evacuation, shelter in place, and relocation planning when required. When travel, events, or executive visits involve higher risk, you’ll work with intelligence, travel risk, and executive protection partners to help plan safe and practical support.

  • Build and maintain country level response plans, escalation paths, emergency contacts, and security records.
  • Work closely with Human Resources, Legal, Real Estate, Technology, Compliance, Business Continuity, Communications, and local office teams.
  • Oversee local security vendors and service providers, including performance, compliance, and contract delivery.
  • Share timely intelligence, incident reports, risk updates, and corrective action tracking with GSS leadership.
  • Contribute to dashboards, risk registers, leadership updates, and regional program reviews.
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminal justice, emergency management, business, international relations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5 or more years of progressive experience in corporate security, physical security, incident management, law enforcement, military security, emergency management, investigations, intelligence, or a related risk function.
  • Experience supporting security operations across multiple Latin American countries, cities, or jurisdictions.
  • Experience carrying out physical security and country risk assessments and turning findings into practical mitigation plans.
  • Experience coordinating security incidents with business teams, security providers, law enforcement, and emergency services.
  • Working knowledge of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, visitor management, alarm monitoring, and related security technology.
  • Experience overseeing contract security providers or other third party security services.
  • Ability to write concise incident reports, risk assessments, executive summaries, and operational updates in English.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Preferred portuguese proficiency.
  • Ability to travel regularly across Latin America and respond to urgent incidents outside normal business hours.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and work across different cultures, legal systems, and business environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business applications.
