Capgemini Engineering is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer in Bogotá to design and maintain automated test frameworks for API and backend services using RestAssured. You will write robust RESTful API tests, collaborate with cross-functional teams to set quality criteria, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires 5+ years of software testing experience, strong Java and RestAssured skills, and familiarity with TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle, Git, and CI/CD tools.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Strong proficiency in Java and RestAssured for API automation.
• Hands-on experience with TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and Git.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON/XML.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with Postman, Swagger, and API documentation tools.
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for API and backend services using RestAssured.

• Perform code reviews for test automation scripts and provide mentorship to junior QA engineers.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with best practices in test automation, including maintainability, scalability, and performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.
