A technology company in Colombia is seeking a QA Automation Engineer with expertise in test automation and GCP. You will design and maintain automated tests, execute functional tests, and optimize CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate has robust experience with Cypress, API testing, and a background in functional QA. Formación

• 2-3 years of experience in test automation with JavaScript.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cypress for E2E testing.
• Experience with API testing (Postman, JS libraries).
• Experience with GCP services including Cloud Functions and App Engine.
• Experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions.
• At least 1 year of experience in functional QA.
• Fluent English - minimum B2 level.

Overview

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in test automation, functional QA, and working in Google Cloud Platform environments. This role will be key in ensuring software quality, detecting regressions early, and reducing technical debt, while collaborating closely with the development team.

Base pay range

$1,000.00/yr - $26,400.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, and E2E) using Cypress
• Execute and document functional tests for critical business scenarios
• Perform API testing to validate backend services
• Configure and optimize CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions
• Work with GCP services (Cloud Functions, Workflows, App Engine, credentials)
• Refactor and improve coverage of legacy code
• Participate in defining and implementing effective testing practices
• Execute cross-browser and multi-device testing (Browserstack - nice to have)

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in test automation with JavaScript
• Strong hands-on experience with Cypress for E2E testing (1-2 years minimum)
• Experience with API testing (Postman, JS libraries)
• 2+ years of experience with GCP, including Cloud Functions, Workflows, App Engine, and credential management
• Experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions (deployment and PR validation)
• At least 1 year of experience in functional QA
• Fluent English - minimum B2 level

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Angular
• Experience with Browserstack
