Job summary

OpsArmy is seeking an experienced US Tax & Accounting Support Specialist to provide Level 2 support for complex customer inquiries related to US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll. The role requires solid technical accounting judgment and the ability to independently investigate and resolve issues for US-based clients.

You will work within an 8:00 AM–8:00 PM ET coverage window with staggered shifts and must communicate clearly through Zendesk and email; prior CPA/EA credentials or Big

Qualifications

• Accounting experience with exposure to US accounting and taxation.
• Strong English communication and writing skills.
• Ability to investigate and resolve complex inquiries independently.
• Experience with bookkeeping, payroll, tax notices, and filing status questions.
• Ability to explain complex accounting and tax topics to nontechnical customers.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment with evolving workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated accounting and tax support tickets.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies and transactions.
• Assist customers with tax-related inquiries and notices; filing status questions.
• Support payroll questions, setup, processing issues, and troubleshooting.
• Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve workflows and knowledge resources.
• Adapt to new internal systems and AI-assisted workflows.
