Job summary

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of interpreting experience, pass a medical terminology assessment, and complete an English-language proficiency evaluation. Background checks are required for all hires.

Qualifications

• Resume in English required at time of application.
• English proficiency ILR level 3+ (technical proficiency).
• Must pass a Mock oral interpretation session.
• Completion of Propio's Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology assessment.
• Background check and security screen required.
• Commitment to confidentiality, ethics and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provides consecutive, first-person interpretation.
• Follows interpreter protocols and Propio L.S. client procedures.
• Adheres to Propio L.S. confidentiality and interpreter ethics policies.
• Continually expands vocabulary and subject matter knowledge across medical, legal, social services, etc.
