Job summary

BIG Language Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Spanish Language Interpreter for remote, part-time/contract work. You will provide real-time interpretation between Spanish and English, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy across diverse professional settings.

Requirements include native or near-native fluency in both languages, strong listening and communication skills, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Independence and computer proficiency are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
• Excellent listening, comprehension, and communication skills.
• Minimum 1 year of interpretation, translation, customer service, or bilingual communication experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret accurately and impartially in real-time.
• Proficiency with computers and communication platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation between Spanish and English.
• Interpret conversations accurately without omitting, adding, or altering the meaning of the original message.
• Facilitate communication during customer service interactions, business meetings, healthcare discussions, legal proceedings, and other professional settings.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all interpreted information.
• Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity while interpreting conversations.
• Clarify and relay information accurately when necessary.
• Follow established interpreting protocols, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Document and report call or assignment details as required.
• Manage challenging conversations professionally while remaining neutral and unbiased.
• Meet productivity, quality, and attendance expectations.
