Job summary

Higher Options is seeking a highly analytical Senior Accountant to support financial operations for a US‑based hospitality and events group. The role emphasizes QuickBooks Online expertise, accurate books, and insightful analysis across entities.

You will review monthly results, reconcile accounts, lead close processes, and collaborate with founders and leadership to provide clear financial insight. Remote work with overlap in US Central Time is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
CPA or equivalent is a plus.
Experience in U.S. companies or American-aligned work environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Own and maintain accurate accounting records in QuickBooks Online.
Review and classify transactions with impact on income statement and balance sheet.
Prepare and review monthly financial statements across entities.
Analyze MoM financial results and flag unusual fluctuations.
Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts, intercompany transactions, and other key accounts.
Lead month-end and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Support payroll review and payroll allocations across entities.
Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting needs.
Maintain inventory, COGS, fixed assets, and general ledger records.
Support tax compliance, audits, and coordination with external accountants.
Improve accounting workflows and SOPs.
