Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Principal Python Engineer to design APIs and services powering a consumer-facing product used by millions. This hands-on role grants full ownership from design through deployment and shapes how customers interact with the platform.

You'll work with a product and design team, building backend services on AWS serverless, crafting data models in PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, and scaling systems with microservices. English proficiency is essential for global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with Python.
• Hands-on AWS Serverless (Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, API Gateway).
• Background in PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• IaC experience (CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform).
• Proficiency in microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services on AWS serverless infrastructure.
• Own complete features end to end, from design through deployment.
• Design APIs consumed by web and mobile applications.
• Build infrastructure as code to support repeatable deployments.
• Design microservices and event-driven systems that scale with demand.
• Design data models across PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
