Job summary

Bolder Apps is hiring a mid-senior LLM Application Engineer to design, ship, and harden production AI pipelines for client products. You will own structured extraction and classification systems, and work on Firebase/GCP-style backends with product, mobile, and QA teams.

We value real-world LLM deployments, strong Gemini experience (multimodal prompts, structured outputs), and the ability to hit quality targets while controlling dollars-per-run.

Qualifications

• Shipped LLM applications for real users.
• Strong experience with Google Gemini and multimodal prompts.
• Ability to design structured outputs and reliable data pipelines.
• Experience with cost control and latency optimization in production.

Responsibilities

• Own production LLM pipelines end to end: ingestion, multimodal model calls, structured records, and storage, including confidence flags, retries, and idempotent rescans
• Design prompt and schema strategies for consistent, production-ready results
• Build classification layers on top of extraction with taxonomy mapping and deduplication
• Run evaluation harnesses and maintain quality gates
• Hit quality targets and report against SLAs
• Optimize token usage, model tiering, caching, and batching to control costs
• Harden reliability for long-running async jobs and deployments
• Collaborate with Flutter/mobile and QA on field contracts and incident debugging
• Document architecture and runbooks for shared ownership
• Stay current on Gemini and other LLM APIs and implement fallbacks
