Job summary

Fidelity Partners seeks a Remote Inpatient/Outpatient Coding Auditor to support VISN 7 Health Information Management Services in the United States. The auditor reviews inpatient and outpatient facility coding for accuracy, DRG assignments, and documentation sufficiency, reporting findings and educating facilities.

Requirements include active RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC credentials, 2+ years coding experience, and 3+ years consulting in large hospitals. Remote work within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen with English proficiency for VA access.
• Active RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CPC-H credential required.
• Minimum two years of coding experience in the applicable area.
• At least three years of consultant experience reviewing records in large tertiary-care hospitals and outpatient settings.
• Must complete Low Risk NACI background and VA privacy training.

Responsibilities

• Independently audit inpatient and outpatient facility coding for accuracy and reimbursement impact.
• Evaluate ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and DRG assignments for proper documentation.
• Review varied encounters and assess billability and coding guidance.
• Document findings with supporting authority and financial impact.
• Deliver facility-specific education and support audit processes.
