Job summary

Fidelity Partners is seeking a Remote Inpatient/Outpatient Coder to meticulously review VA health records and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes for VISN 7. The role requires two years of coding experience and active AHIMA or AAPC credentials.

Work entirely remotely within the United States, with duties spanning pre-bill review and denials support. Must maintain 95% coding accuracy, complete mandatory VA privacy and security training, and collaborate with facilities to ensure timely,

Qualifications

• Must hold AHIMA RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P credential or an AAPC CPC/CPC-H credential.
• Minimum two years of coding experience in inpatient/outpatient coding.
• Proficient with ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, HCPCS Level II and coding guidelines.
• Proficient with CPRS and VistA data entry; able to work securely in US-based remote location.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient and outpatient records to identify reportable diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes per guidelines and VA requirements.
• Code outpatient clinics, radiology, labs, ambulatory services, and inpatient episodes.
• Complete required data entry and follow facility protocols for record transitions.
