GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Engineer to act as the technical authority for HV substation projects in Latin America, with a focus on Colombia. You will lead the design lifecycle, coordinate internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

The role requires at least 10 years in EPC engineering, strong regulatory knowledge for the region, and fluent Spanish with advanced English. Remote work is offered with international travel as needed.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic or Automation & Control Engineering.
• 10+ years in EPC-type engineering as technical coordinator.
• Experience in Venezuelan energy sector with knowledge of local regulations and standards.
• Fluent Spanish and advanced English.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end technical coordination of High Voltage Substation projects, interfacing with internal teams, clients and subcontractors.
• Ensure designs meet customer specs and international/local standards (IEC, ANSI, IEEE).
• Manage engineering master schedule and progress against KPIs with risk mitigation.
• Provide high-level technical support to construction and commissioning teams; conduct site visits and data validation.
• Oversee development and approval of technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
