Job summary

United Nations Volunteers (UNV) invites applications for a Communications Intern – Human Resources Section. This fully remote, six-month internship offers hands-on experience in global learning programmes, content creation, and outreach for volunteers worldwide.

The role develops skills in digital engagement, learning management, analytics, and cross-cultural collaboration within the UN system. Fluency in English is required, with additional UN languages desirable.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be pursuing or have recently completed studies in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, International Relations, International Development, or related fields.
• Eligibility includes postgraduate studies, final-year bachelor, or recent graduation with internship eligibility.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of UN official languages is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support communication and outreach activities to raise awareness of UNV learning programmes.
• Assist with implementing communication strategies to promote training opportunities.
• Create learning materials and promotional content for learning platforms and campaigns.
• Track engagement metrics and prepare performance reports to guide improvements.
• Support social media engagement and online storytelling across channels.
• Maintain and update information on the eCampus platform.
