Job summary

Outsourced is seeking an Accountant to support multi-location retail operations with 17 physical stores and a US e-commerce channel. You will handle AP, reconciliations, revenue posting, payroll support, fixed assets, and month-end close in collaboration with senior accounting leadership.

You’ll work remotely from the Philippines with a US-based finance team, ensuring accuracy and timely financial reporting while maintaining strong internal control across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of full-cycle accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Accounts payable, expense coding, and vendor management.
• Retail, e-commerce, or inventory-based business exposure.
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas and pivot tables.
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and accountability.
• Excellent organizational skills and deadline management.
• Strong written English for remote US-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Code and enter vendor invoices accurately with correct accounts and locations.
• Process vendor payments per schedule and maintain vendor records.
• Investigate billing discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with vendors.
• Reconcile AP subledger with GL and keep payables current.
• Post daily sales from stores and e-commerce; reconcile POS with bank deposits.
• Maintain deferred revenue schedules and flag revenue recognition issues.
• Reconcile ~20 bank and credit card accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and reconcile payroll journals; verify payroll data.
• Maintain fixed asset schedule and depreciation entries.
• Prepare routine journal entries for month-end close under guidance.
• Reconcile GL accounts and support month-end close with workpapers.
• Develop reconciliation trackers and data extracts in Excel.
